The Sixth Sense (1999)
Bruce Willis, and Haley Joel Osment
This movie came to me at a time I felt as alone as the kid in this movie. Watching how he did his best to cope, keep everything a secret, and find solutions to making things work inspired me. This movie was based on the director's experiences as a child, which made this story very believable. The things that occur during "contact" certainly happen that way for me. I am not Catholic, but I learned the use of Catholic powers and enforcing universal laws these spirits must obey. This is an area of spirituality I hope you never attain or even try to open a door to.
Stir of Echoes (1999)
Kevin Bacon, Kathryn Erbe, and Illeana Douglas
This movie represents the use of metaphysical ability for a greater good. The path one often takes to get to this greater good is not always the most pleasant of journey's, nor is it understood what is happening until you get there. Just human insecurities, you have to be able to trust your intuition and have faith in your ability.
The Ring (2002)
Naomi Watts, Martin Henderson, and David Dorfman
The pictures of Kristy above are based on the movie The Ring. I absolutely melted in my chair when I saw this movie because she looked and moved exactly like Kristy. This movie eventually led me to help communicate with her.
What Lies Beneath (2000)
Harrison Ford, and Michelle Pfeiffer
I didn't see this movie until after I saw The Ring. It is about a Ghost's revenge. Revenge is a strong emotion that prevents souls from crossing over. Again, this movie helped me understand Kristy.
Ghost (1990)
Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, and Tony Goldwyn
Great movie for understanding what happens to your soul between death and going to the light. Almost all souls have a period of time they stick around, but watch for the souls that stick around too long and don't to the light. "You can see me?" I wish I has a dollar for every time that happened to me.
The Exorcist (1973)
Ellen Burstyn, Max von Sydow, and Linda Blair
These types of encounters are rare. Not possession so much, but spirits of this power do exist, and can destroy the people and families they are connected to. They do have one thing in common, they are all afraid of the light. There is also something to Catholic religion and defeating them. The universe has souls that specialize in this type of free spiritual counseling. See Constantine.
Ghost Story (1981)
Fred Astaire, Melvyn Douglas, Douglas Fairbanks Jr., John Houseman, and Craig Wasson
Great movie that is just a classic "ghost story" type of tale. It too touches on revenge but more to the tune of setting things straight.
The Changeling (1980)
George C. Scott, Trish Van Devere
A man staying at a secluded historical mansion, finds his life being haunted by the presence of a child ghost. This is a great movie for understanding the practice of haunting, and how difficult it can be for a ghost to communicate.
The Others (2001)
Nicole Kidman
What space do ghosts or spirits occupy? This is a good movie for understanding parallel universes. There are tons of ghosts out there that stay hidden and don't have any connection to the living, unless an event upsets the balance of their universe.
Poltergeist (1982)
Craig T. Nelson, JoBeth Williams, Beatrice Straight, and Heather O'Rourke
Everyone has probably seen this movie. A poltergeist is a ghost or spirit that manifest its presence by noises, knockings, and moving objects. Spirits do not have the knowledge to communicate. They have to learn how. Kristy doesn't know what she appears like. Emotion triggers their ability. The easiest thing they can manipulate is low energy sources like lights switches, clocks, etc. They are trying to communicate but lack the efficient means of doing so.
Ghost Ship (2002)
Gabriel Byrne, Julianna Margulies, and Ron Eldard
A salvage crew that discovers a long-lost 1962 passenger ship floating lifeless in a remote region of the Bering Sea soon notices, as they try to tow it back to land, that "strange things" happen. This is a really good movie that didn't get good reviews. Another movie about the powers of Temptation.
The Shining (1980)
Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall, Danny Lloyd
A family heads to an isolated hotel for the winter where an evil and spiritual presence influences the father into violence, while his psychic son sees horrific spirits from the past and of the future. The father's conversations with the ghosts are just too true to how they speak. They don't think right, which is why they didn't go the light. You create your own hell. Welcome to the club young man.
The picture above is a girl named Kristy. I first met her about 10 years ago. She appeared in the back seat of my car while I was driving. That is much easier said today than it was to experience. I first saw a whispy face-like figure in my rear view window, then whoompa! She was there. Maybe I'm a whimp, but they always scare the s*** out of me when they appear like that.
Her image was near transparent, I would say about 85%, and white and pasty. Her mouth was sewn shut, from the outside and she had big wide eyes. She moved in very choppy frames a la the girl in The Ring. She never said a word but pointed from the back seat, over my shoulder, to where she wanted to go. In my experience, I found it best to just do what these spirits want so we can both just go our own way.
She lead me a long way down many backroads to a very remote area. We came up to a tiny town park with just five parking spots. She motioned for me to pull in, and I did. I got out of the car felt a powerful chilled wind which struck me as very odd for a summer day. I was immediately drawn to a stream and didn't get far before I sensed evil. Like demon-evil. In a split second I saw in my mind three dead young girls, one in the stream first. They were all raped and killed. I look back to the car and Kristy is gone.
